In many cases that leads to a strategic plan of WAITING for things to get better on the economic front. Are you willing to chance that approach?<\/p>\n<p>Realistically, we must admit that our poor U.S. economy certainly does negatively impact productivity and profitability. You simply can&#8217;t ignore that reality. Regrettably, there&#8217;s very little we alone can do about this harsh reality in the short term. However, the poor economy is far from the <em>only<\/em> reason performance is declining.<\/p>\n<p>How do you account for the fact that so many businesses, across industries, are experiencing increased performance, profits, and growth at a time when so many others are falling by the wayside as helpless victims?<\/p>\n<p>The answers may well lie in the study of <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">GAP<\/span><\/strong>-ology! You may not be aware of this term as it&#8217;s seldom mentioned in the annals of management and leadership.
