And organizations seem to fall clearly into one category or the other, and the consequences are evident.<\/p>\n<p>Consider the following facts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A person making $50,000 per year who is wasting one hour per day is costing the company $6,250 in wasted salary alone!<\/li>\n<li>A group of 25 people wasting an hour a day is costing the company $156,250 year!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What would you invest to fix that problem?<\/p>\n<p>How much training could have been provided for $156,250?<\/p>\n<p>How many other problems could have been solved as a result of that training investment?<\/p>\n<p>How could you have otherwise invested that $156,250?<\/p>\n<p>In a study carried out by the International Institute of Management Development, 80% of respondents were unable to quantify the effect of staff development. That&#8217;s exactly why the above figures are seldom considered by most organizations.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, training courses, seminars and workshops don&#8217;t work. People do. As a <a title=\"Information on Harry K. Jones\" href=\"http:\/\/www.achievemax.com\/motivational-speaker-harry.htm\">facilitator<\/a>, I know that to be a fact. There is no greater waste than that of human potential and unused knowledge &#8230; especially in today&#8217;s very competitive and global environment.
