Words of Wisdom on ChaosIf enough of us believe, a new thing can be made to exist. Belief structure
creates a filter through which chaos is sifted into order. Chaos often breeds life, when order breeds habit. Chaos in the midst of chaos isn't funny, but chaos in the midst of order
is. I have great belief in the fact that whenever there is chaos, it creates
wonderful thinking. I consider chaos a gift. Chaos furnishes the building blocks for order, and order breaks down
to replenish chaos. Chaos is everywhereand artists, to fashion art and live truthfully,
have no choice but to invite this unwanted quest right into the studio. The urban world is full of chaotic compositions that seem to make sense
in a way that earlier decades and centuries could never have imagined. Men cannot see their reflection in running water, but only in still water.
Chaos results when the world changes faster than people. Humor is emotional chaos remembered in tranquility. Before the beginning of great brilliance, there must be change. We adore chaos because we love to produce order. The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we
are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only
in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step
out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.
The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be one
who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemies. Chaos in the world brings uneasiness, but it also allows the opportunity
for creativity and growth. If our house be on fire, without inquiring whether it was fired from
within or without, we must try to extinguish it! Our real discoveries come from chaos, from going to the place that looks
wrong and stupid and foolish. It turns out that an eerie type of chaos can lurk just behind a facade
of orderand yet, deep inside the chaos lurks an even eerier type
of order. Chaos furnishes the building blocks of order, and order breaks down to
replenish chaos.
